Weather in Hawaii is fairly constant as it moves through its two seasons of summer and winter. The average daytime summer temperature is 85 degrees Fahrenheit while its average daytime winter temperature is 78 degrees Fahrenheit, so overall the temperature is great. What makes Hawaii stand out is that its not just one island and in each island its not just one zone, each island is composed of its own micro environments, within these micro environments you get your own unique weather because of the effects of mountains and different elevations. In Hawaii you get desserts and tropical rain forests all close by to each other, so to say that the Hawaii is dominated by only one climate is an understatement. This ranging climate provides for the different organisms that inhabit Hawaii.
This ends up being great because of its biodiversity, biodiversity is important because people enjoy seeing many different times of plants and animals and it also helps Hawaii’s tourism. In addition to the sightseeing many flock to Hawaii to try their hand at surfing, the interesting story about surfing is that in Hawaii they called the sport the “Sport of Kings” because only members of the royal family could partake in the activity. Thankfully it isn’t so closed anymore and anyone on the islands can try their hand at surfing. Like skiing there are levels at which one progresses through surfing. Hawaii has its mix of beginner, Intermediate, and Expert levels to help everyone find their spot. Canoes in Oahu is a good place for beginners to start but it tends to get busy during the summer buy ultram online time. For the thrill seekers go to Banzai Pipeline, these are the big waves and even five surfers ended up dying because of the large waves.
Oahu is the third largest of the Hawaiian Islands, and is also the home of Waikiki beach where surfing was born, many people flock to Waikiki to learn how to surf. Oahu is separated into 5 different regions: Honolulu, Windward Coast, Central Oahu, leeward coast, and the north shore. World famous Waikiki is on the south shore. You have a good mix of things in Oahu; you have your typical downtown setting in Honolulu, great scenery such as Leahi Mountain and also some of the best beaches like Kawela Bay one of the best places to snorkel. Some have seen the honu, the Hawaiian green sea turtle in Kawela Bay.
For snorkelers there are many places for you too, I would recommend Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve in the South Shore, marine sanctuaries are always great because you are getting true authentic preserves. The Preserve lies between two dormant volcanic craters on the southeast tip of Oahu. Sharks cove is also a good snorkel spot but with a bad entrance so you will have to wade in but once you get out the bay is about 8 to 15 feet deep. Beginners that are just starting their snorkeling experience will want to head out to Kuilima Cove, the area is very quiet because of the natural barrier it has protecting it from waves. Water clarity is great and you can see an impressive amount of marine life like the humuhumunukunukuapaa. Go out and find the humuhumunukunukuapaa the Hawaiian state fish, Now that’s a mouth full!
